Liquid Rhyme

And it’s already tomorrow, but I won’t forget today –
the presence of the future’s past just makes us act this way.

Let’s move that sunset back an hour, I don’t want to go to bed –
saving daylight savings calms the worries in my head.

We’ll trace the stars to find night’s scars, and then we all will see –
it’s the sunset of our past that teaches us the meaning of beauty.

So let’s toss back some liquid rhyme and chew on juicy truth –
just cause we must grow up does not mean we must forfeit youth.
